Dental Concussion

A dental concussion occurs when a tooth is sore after an injury but is neither knocked out nor loosened. Symptoms often include tenderness when chewing.

How to Help:
• Watch for increased sensitivity or discoloration.
• Avoid chewing with the injured tooth until discomfort subsides.
• Manage pain with over-the-counter medication.
• Contact the dentist to assess the injury and ensure there is no further damage.
